Village Energy announced as Top 9 Finalist in EDF Pulse India 2020 Startup Awards Grand Final

Village Energy is proud to have been selected among the 9 finalists in the Grand Final Awards of the first edition of the EDF Pulse 2020 Starup Awards, which support socially inclusive Indian-based innovations for an electric world that’s more eco-friendly and better connected.

Village Energy is a finalist in the Resilient Smart Infrastructures Category.

Village Energy announced as one of 19 finalists in the 2020 Australian Technologies Competition 

The Australian Technologies Competition seeks to identify and accelerate Australian technology 'scaleups' with the greatest global potential.

Supported by the Department of Industry, Science, Energy & Resources, the Industry Growth Centres and Industry partners, the Competition will celebrate its tenth Anniversary in 2020.  From the time of its inauguration, the Competition has created an alumni pool of over 200+ semi finalists and finalists, many of whom have had significant international success.

Village Energy is proud to have been selected as finalist in the Energy category.

Congratulations to our Co-founder and COO Yvonne Power, who was named as one of this year's Business News 40under40 award recipients.

Established in 2002 , the 40under40 awards celebrate Western Australia's top business talent across a diverse mix of sectors.

Cleantech group names Village Energy a 2020 APAC 25 company

Village Energy has just been included in the 2020 APAC 25 list produced by Cleantech Group, a global provider of research, consulting and events to catalyze opportunities in sustainable innovation.

The APAC 25 is a list of independent companies from the Asia Pacific region engaged in sustainable innovation that are viewed by the market as likely to have significant impact in a five-to-ten-year time frame.

Cleantech Group put together the third annual list of 25 companies through a combination of APAC-related inputs from the annual Global Cleantech 100 process and detailed contributions from an APAC 25 expert panel. The companies on the list had the strongest patterns of agreement across all the input points and were scored the highest.

Village Energy announced as one of 15 Top clean energy start-ups addressing issues of climate change, energy access and efficiency in India announced by Social Alpha and Tata Trusts

Social Alpha and Tata Trusts announce the winners of the second edition of Social Alpha Energy Challenge 2.0 (SAEC 2.0). The winners were selected from more than 150 applicants across the country which were screened for their unique technology and business model, strong focus on affordability and accessibility and social, economic and environmental impact.

The winners will receive customised lab-to-market incubation support at CEIIC, which includes access to world-class lab infrastructure and test beds, technical advisory, R&D support for product design and manufacturing, piloting opportunities with industry leaders and access to grant funding.

Developing countries face an annual gap of $2.5 trillion to meet the Sustainable Development Goals. Multi-stakeholder partnerships between government, the private sector and NGOs play an important role in closing the gap to achieve the SDGs.

 

Under the Business Partnerships Platform  initiative DFAT has partnered with 73 organisations across 16 countries to achieve commercial returns while delivering sustainable development and social impact.

 

Wayne Liubinskas  is one of four partners to join a BPP Panel at the Australasian Aid Conference sharing lessons from the program by exploring: success and failure factors; how NGOs, private sector and donors can enhance their value propositions; and effective collaboration approaches.

Village Energy co-founder and COO Yvonne Power nominated for 40under40 awards

The 40under40 awards recognise WA's top 40 leading business entrepreneurs and professionals under the age of 40. The program attracts entrants across all industries and showcases the acute business acumen of our state's professional talent. This year we are proud to announce that Yvonne Power  one of Village Energy's co-founders and COO is a nominee in the program.

Village Energy and FEDCO converts MOU into a landmark SaaS Agreement

Both companies will partner closely to install Village Energy's technology platform across FEDCO's rural area of operation. An initial 500 new connections will demonstrate Village Energy's ability to improving system efficiency and operating results and further enhancing customer satisfaction and shared value. This is an exciting new phase for the partnership and Village Energy is delighted to be working with the progressive team at Feedback Energy Distribution Company Limited.

Village Energy awarded in the Volunteer Employer Recognition Awards 2019 

Village Energy is proud to have been recognised at the 2019 Volunteer Employer Recognition Awards (VERA). VERA celebrates employers of emergency services volunteers who play a vital role in keeping the community safe. The awards celebrates the invaluable contribution employers make by supporting emergency services volunteers to respond to incidents day and night.

Village Energy brand ambassador Adam Gilchrist visits pilot site in Anantapur

Village Energy's brand ambassador and Aussie cricket legend Adam Gilchrist visited the pilot project site in Pagidiroy to have a look at how the technology works first hand and to speak with Village Energy customers about the difference that the solution has impacted their lives. 

Adam visited the RDT sports campus and participated in the making of a Village Energy corporate video which explains how our solution works to provide cheaper and more reliable energy for the community.
